Springfield Armory National Historic Site

We’re part of the Springfield Community. Our history is your history. While our museum started as a technical reference library for the workers and engineers at Springfield Armory, the museum collection has grown into one of the largest collections of military small arms in the world. We also host community music concerts featuring swing bands and musicians reminiscent of those who once performed for Armory workers. Bring your young or young at heart family and friends and become Junior Rangers while learning about the history and people of the Armory. Join us for Armory Day, a fun experience for all. We also offer Every Kid Outdoors programs for fourth graders as well as virtual and onsite education programs. And our grounds offer a fantastic view of Springfield and are great for strolling or relaxing in the fresh air.
